Caterpillar currently has an opportunity for an experienced Senior Operational Readiness Consultant to join the Cat Solutions and Services global team based out of Australia.

JOB PURPOSE:

As a Senior Operational Readiness Consultant within the Cat Solutions and Services team you will be responsible for the execution of customer contracts of a size and nature that can be managed and executed end to end .

You will guide and direct all activities with customers to build operational readiness through change management and culture transformation principles for technology implementations and safety management systems. Relationships must be built throughout the Enterprise to foster the continuous improvement of Caterpillar's change management principles and for Cat Solutions and Services to be recognized as credible experts in industry to support external sales.

You will be responsible to represent the business at industry conferences, prepare trade publication articles, and participate in various marketing activities.

This position is of strategic importance to the Enterprise as Caterpillar expands solutions offerings to further enhance customer loyalty and position Caterpillar as a global leader.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:



  • Through standardized workshops and consulting practices, you will ensure the coaching of all organizational levels to embrace and demonstrate the acceptance of change that comes with the implementation of disruptive technologies.


  • You will direct and oversee the development of systems of accountability, and will guide customer teams through the development and deployment of improved processes that maximize the return on investment in technology and their people.


  • Collaborate and build relationships with other Caterpillar, dealer, and customer teams on the customer sites in leading the operational readiness journey with a focus on people and process as it relates to the disruptive technology being implemented.


  • Defining and implementing the contractual scope of work, identify future business opportunities, obtain business referrals and guide the customer's overall, technology implementation and change initiative.


  • Formulate a strategic plans with customers to ensure successful execution change initiatives, develop relationships with customer executives to ensure effective leadership, allocate and deploy resources necessary to meet customer needs, coordinate and oversee all customer change activity, and serve as key liaison with administrative support to ensure effective scheduling and coordination of resources.


  • Champion, by leading as a role-model, f all values and behaviors expressed and taught by Cat Solutions and Services.




Required Qualifications:
  • Extensive prior experience in consultative work with demonstrated results
  • Experience in the fields of practice or related industries (mining preferred
  • Ability to navigate large matrixed organizations
  • Be polished and have a professional presentation style, demonstrating the ability to command an audience with confidence and credibility
  • Strong consulting/training/facilitation experience or equivalent
  • Impeccable human relations skills to develop a cooperative work relationship with others inside and outside the department;
  • Basic understanding of the science of accountability, change management principles, leading indicator focus, and culture assessment methodologies
  • Exceptional Interpersonal communication skills demonstrating credibility, confidence and humility
  • Continuous improvement philosophy of always working toward cultures of excellence, both from technical and interpersonal means
  • Ability to work and influence others across all levels of an organisation
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to mentor others
  • Extensive travel required (up to 75% of working time)
  • Must have Australia working rights
Desired Qualifications:
  • A degree in industrial psychology, organizational leadership, business management or related field
  • Master's degree preferred; operations experience in an oversight position with a track record of operational and safety improvement
  • Certifications or experience equivalent in the above will be considered
