Position Purpose and Summary:

The Maintenance Parts Coordinator makes a direct contribution to important mobile maintenance goals of increasing labor productivity, reducing maintenance costs and improving equipment reliability. This is accomplished by the researching, expediting and coordinating distribution of parts and materials between the Maintenance Reliability group and the Warehouse/Purchasing group. Work schedule to be determined by Management to best fit the needs of the Department.

Essential Functions:

  • The Maintenance Parts Coordinator responsibilities include identifying, locating and obtaining parts identified by the Maintenance Reliability and Maintenance Repair groups.
  • Work with the Purchasing and Warehouse group to help maintain inventory control and stocking levels to meet the demands of both the predictive/preventative and planned maintenance programs.
  • Will be responsible for the monitoring, tracking and execution of the rebuild component program.
  • Must display a positive attitude toward work, be a team player, have the ability to juggle competing priorities.
  • Review accuracy of backlog requests to support planning and reliability team.
  • Determine necessary parts and/or components needed to complete tasks identified from backlog and work requests.
  • Review scheduled work and verify parts availability according to the Maintenance Schedule and report discrepancies.
  • Staging parts at the worksite prior to the start of scheduled work.
  • Other duties as assigned by Maintenance Reliability Planning & Scheduling General Foreman.
  • Entry-level position with intent to develop successful candidate for future roles in Maintenance Reliability Planning & Scheduling Group


Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Experience PREFERED:

  • Engineering Degree or related field (mechanical, electrical, etc)
  • Leadership qualities including: character, teamwork, communication, business sense, and vision
  • Strong computer skills including Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Planning software and JD Edwards experience
