Title: Senior Mining Engineer - 5 Year Planning

Work location: Fortescue Centre, East Perth

Roster: Monday to Friday

We are currently seeking highly motivated Planning Engineer to join the Long Term Planning Team. Reporting to the Principal Mine Engineer-Long Term Planning, this role is responsible for updating the 5 year mine plan based on the approved Life of Mine Plan.

Key accountabilities:

• Develop, prepare, and deliver 5 year mine plan based on the approved Life of Mine Plan and assess for opportunities
• Communicate and liaise with relevant parties the results of the plan
• Mine Design, internal and external waste dump designs and all other infrastructure designs required for the 5 year plan
• Project and scenario work as required

Qualifications and skills required:

• Bachelor degree in Mining Engineering or similar with a minimum of 4 years experience
• Knowledge in open pit mining preferably within iron ore
• Medium to long term planning and scheduling and mine design knowledge
• Strong analytical skills
• Computer proficiency (ATS, & Vulcan)
• Excellent communication skills and be a team player with a strong desire to provide high quality work
