Fortescue is now consistently producing 175-180 million tonnes of iron ore per year and has an exciting future ahead, establishing itself for future growth in a global market through innovation, product diversification and asset development.

The company is scheduled to commence production at its Iron Bridge magnetite mine in mid-2022.

Iron Bridge is Fortescue's US$2.6 billion project, set to deliver 22mtpa of high grade 67% Fe magnetite concentrate product. Located 145km by road south of Port Hedland, the mine will deliver an innovative process design and industry-leading energy efficient operation.

Work Location: Perth initially, then will be based at Iron Bridge

Roster: 5D/2R whilst in Perth then 8D/6R - FIFO ex Perth once on site

An exciting opportunity to work on the new Iron Bridge site. The purpose of this role is to provide direct day-to-day administrative support to the Mining and Mobile Maintenance department at Iron Bridge. This will initially be Perth based and will transition to an 8D/6R FIFO roster from Perth.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Manage travel and leave requirements through correct systems and conduct regular audits and roster management
  • Answer email and phone enquiries in a professional efficient manner
  • Meeting Minutes including Safety
  • Maintain office policies and procedures
  • Calendar management and daily reporting function
  • Support of other departmental administrators as requested
  • Comply with all procurement guidelines, for example, raising/receipting/invoicing purchase orders
  • Ensure adequate stocks available within budget for PPE, office supplies
  • Maintain safety reporting systems and provide information to management

Qualifications and skills required:
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Minimum two years in a similar administrative role
  • Certificate III in Business administration will be highly regarded
  • Experience using SAP and Workflow
  • Excellent time management and scheduling skills
