The ideal candidate will provide Reliability Centered Maintenance oversight to Nevada Gold Mines sites to implement Asset Reliability Project improvement tools, frameworks, and subject matter expertise. This role would focus on the development, education, delivery, and sustainment of a robust Reliability Centered Maintenance program within NGM. Though this would be desirable in all functions of NGM the focus would be for Underground activities as these are becoming more and more critical to the profitability of NGM and seeing the fastest development and evolution. RCM is the application of a quantified and qualified 'common sense' approach to functional requirements and failures of assets. This role would deliver reliability-based design support for new asset development, acquisition, and delivery, asset strategy development for use and maintenance of equipment to extract the maximum safe value, educate site leadership, operations, and maintenance in the best utilization of assets. Barrick currently owns the premier RCM/RCA analysis and management tool (Bentley APM) and this role would take over business ownership of this tool and develop a strategy to leverage the maximum value of this tool within NGM and Barrick. This would include becoming global administrator, managing the contract, and arranging for full deployment and education in the tool.


  • Develop a Framework for implementing RCM efforts across NGM
  • Provide / Manage RCM Facilitator Training for Site Reliability Personnel
  • Facilitate RCM engagements for critical and high value assets
  • Manage site RCM efforts
  • Provide Regional reporting and improvement to RCM efforts
  • Develop an NGM RCM community of practice
  • Work with sites to scope asset needs regarding reliability and LCCM values
  • Provide design for reliability subject matter expert to projects for design and acquisition
  • Work with supply chain as reliability SME to ensure proper delivery of scoped assets
  • Lead pre delivery RCM sessions to determine the optimal maintenance and operating strategy for assets in line with asset value delivery
  • Facilitate any delivery or infant mortality failures on new assets
  • Manage Bentley APM contact with Bentley
  • Administer User and Site configuration and setup
  • Curate FMEA library in Bentley for NGM / Barrick use
  • Arrange NGM standard education, networking, and continuing development using Bentley APM


  • Five (5) years' experience in Reliability Engineering Field
  • Bachelor's in Engineering Field
  • Data Analytics Skills (Power BI)
  • Continuous Improvement Experience (Six Sigma, LEAN, etc.)
  • Agile Project Management Certification
  • CMRP Certification
  • RCM Certification
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to manage self, time, and projects
  • Strong follow through skills
  • Excellent Intra-personal Skills
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Proficient in RCM Analysis
  • Proficient in Bentley APM

About Nevada Gold Mines

Nevada Gold Mines is a joint venture between Barrick Gold Corporation (61.5%) and Newmont Goldcorp Corporation (38.5%), combining their significant assets across Nevada to create the single largest gold-producing complex in the world and realize the full potential of these mines through synergies and best-in-class operational improvements.

The massive mining operation comprises 8 mines along with their associated infrastructure and processing facilities that produced an estimated 4 million ounces of gold in 2018.
