About the role

Due to exponential growth, MRL are currently looking for expressions of interests from Exploration Geologists working a 9/5 roster at sites around WA regional areas. These roles will be on a 12 month fixed term contract.

Reporting to the Senior Geologist, your primary responsibility will be to provide geological support for exploration and resource definition for the development of a number of MRL's Projects. This role will require an effective communicator who is both strategic and hands-on and can engage effectively with individuals and teams across a diverse organisation.

What we're after

We're looking for someone who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and enjoys a challenging yet rewarding work environment. You will be responsible for;

• Planning and executing all resource definition and exploration drill programs required to progress the development of a number of projects across the Yilgarn and Pilbara, in line with Project timelines.
• Providing technical input into the resource estimation for the deposits including detailed geological modelling.
• Ensuring safety standards are maintained within the geology group and with all exploration contractors.
• Ensuring drill programs are run in a cost effective manner.
• Reporting on progress of drill campaigns against physical budgets and technical goals.
• Maintaining compliance to MRL policies, procedures and regulatory reporting.

What you'll bring to the team

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Geology.
• 5 + years' experience in exploration and resource development preferably in Iron Ore.
• Experience delivering Geological and Resource modelling.
• Proven background in Yilgarn and/or Pilbara Iron Ore systems.
• A track record of successful delivery of exploration development outcomes.
• Conversant with multiple geology software packages.
• Competency with the Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent communication with the ability to liaise at all levels
• Genuine enthusiasm and dedication to deliver solid and consistent results
• Demonstrated leadership ability.
• Ability to work remotely and autonomously in a safe manner
