Cadia Valley Operations is located in Central West New South Wales, approximately 25 kms outside the vibrant regional town of Orange and three hours from Sydney. Who we're looking for

Reporting into the Manager - Strategy, Planning & Performance, this highly visible position will provide and support a strategic, dynamic and integrated approach to the whole mine value chain. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high performing team where you'll have accountability in optimising mine life planning and incorporating strategic improvement opportunities to maximise value, growth and sustainability.

You will be working with all departments to coordinate and complete business improvement initiatives that add value to the organisation, are delivered on time, within budget and achieve expected outcomes. You will lead a team of three direct reports.

A firm focus will be on teamwork and fostering the development of a team. We are looking for a strong communicator and influencer and someone who is familiar with working in a highly collaborative environment with a strong emphasis on innovation and best practise.

You will be safety focused, team oriented, enjoy continuous improvement and be willing to strive for results. Relationship building, drive and strategic thinking are second nature to you. You will have a background in business improvement/continuous improvement preferably in the mining, chemical or heavy industries with a skilled mind for business acumen.

In addition to the above you will also have:
  • A business improvement qualification i.e. Lean Six Sigma
  • Degree level qualifications will be highly advantageous, preferably in engineering, or another relevant discipline
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
  • Critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Highly competent with Microsoft Office Suite
