Since 2007 African Underground Mining Services (AUMS) has provided unmatched mechanised underground mining services across numerous projects in Africa. AUMS is dedicated to achieving the highest global standards in underground mining and there is a specific focus on sharing this mining knowledge across all levels of the business.

In line with the forecasted growth of AUMS, we are seeking applications from experienced Mining Engineers to join our West African Operations. Reporting to the Operations Manager these positions will work a 10:6 FIFO roster.

**Please note that due to the unfolding circumstances of COVID-19 and Government regulations in place, the standard 6:4 roster is currently 10:6. The 10:6 roster will be subject to change in the future as the government border restrictions and controls are reassessed.

Key Requirements;
  • Strong background working with underground mining equipment and in a high-speed development mechanised mine
  • Mining Engineering Degree and WA underground supervisors certificate of competency, or equivalent
  • Ensure client requirements are met contractually and maintain a robust and favourable relationship with the client
  • Demonstrated expertise in mine optimisation, design, planning and scheduling
  • Reliable computer and software skills with mine planning and design software packages
  • Develop mine designs, plans and schedules and assist with the implementation
  • All valid and relevant qualifications, trade certificates, and licences
  • Valid Manual Australian Driver's Licence
  • National Police clearance
