Warehouse Operator

Hoyle Pond Mine - Timmins, ON

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the receiving of all goods procured by the company
  • Must ensure accuracy of goods received and tagging of all goods received
  • Must report all deficiencies to the vendor, Warehouse Supervisor and Accounts Payable to resolve the issue in a timely manner
  • Contact end user on receipt of Direct Charge shipments and ensure items are picked up or delivered in a timely manner
  • Keep accurate filing system of all documentation for future reference
  • To ensure R.F.I.D. items are tagged and properly assigned and activated (2013)
  • To ensure R.F.I.D. contract items are being shipped with the desired tags (2013)
  • Responsible for the issuing of all inventory and ensuring accuracy of all issue transactions
  • Enter issue transactions in the computer system in a timely manner to ensure an accurate re-order report
  • Pull from shelves and prepare for shipping or kitting internally requested inventory
  • Train customers in the use of Hand Held Computers for issuing or inquiry
  • Responsible to monitor security system on PC., and also monitor free issue inventory
  • Responsible for the preparation of all documentation, company, legislated or carrier, for the shipping of goods off site
  • Must ensure all material being shipped off site is properly and safely packaged or skidded, and has any and all appropriate labels and warnings attached
  • Responsible for checking for Repair Tag correctly filled out and or UR number attached by end user.
  • Must ensure all inventory items are put away in their proper designated location, in an accurate safe and timely manner
  • Run stocking audit at end of each day and correct any deficiencies
  • Responsible for reporting low stock levels, conduct formal physical counts and spot checks as required
  • Responsible to be on the weekend on-call rotation for Warehouse and Purchasing coverage
  • Responsible for providing accurate information on all aspects of the inventory status to other company personnel as requested, or redirect the inquiry to other warehouse personnel if unable to provide the requested info
  • Must maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Must adhere to all company and departmental policies and procedures as they apply to the job functions (ie PPE, circle checks, etc)


Requirements
  • Minimum Secondary School Diploma.
  • Working knowledge of legislation requirements under Transportation of Dangerous Goods act
  • Minimum of three years' warehouse experience
  • Forklift operators certificate
  • Must be able to organize work, prioritize and execute with minimal supervision
  • Must have working knowledge of PC software
  • Must be fully trained in WHMIS and Transportation of Dangerous Goods
  • Must be willing to work with others
  • Should be open minded to change towards new processes and overall improvement of the department
