HSE Business Partner Resolution Operations and Project

· Key role in a diverse and global organization

· Provide HSE input into the product group and RT Projects strategic plan

· Communicates regularly with key stakeholders including site management, supervisors and operational employees regarding occupational health obligations, plans and performance improvement

· Role will be located at Resolution and will be G Band

About the role

HSE Business Partners are critical enablers of our networked organization who partner and collaborate with our stakeholders - the assets being at the core - to manage risk, eliminate or minimize harm and enhance value while delivering on the business priorities

The RTCD HSE Business partner role is designed to integrate work at a product group level to avoid duplication and improve the product group performance through delivery of standardized processes.

· Provide direct business partner support to both the RT Projects and RTCD operational teams, including the asset technical team, finance, HR and CSP

· Provide HSE leadership to the Resolution study and future projects

· Environmental leadership and direction at Resolution and RT Projects and input into studies

· Annual legal and internal Environmental reporting

· Standardise and align core HSE activities, such as incident and action management, risk assessment and assurance across the product group and RT Projects

· Coordinate the integration of group HSE programs within RTCD and RT Projects

· Lead internal projects as required

· Execute HSE governance activities on behalf of the RTCD SLT and RT Projects SLT

· Implements programs to train managers and employees in safety standards and practices

· Prepares studies and analyses of accident causes and hazards for use by company personnel and contractors

· Make recommendations to mitigate causes and to avoid occurrences

· Develops and manages subordinates

· Strong interface with RCC permitting team

About you

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

· College/University Education: Science, engineering or related field
  • Formal training in recognized incident investigation processes
  • 7-10 years in HSE leadership role.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders internally and externally at all levels
  • Experience in working with regulators and stakeholders within Riot Tinto and Community.

Resolution Copper has the potential to supply nearly 25% of the US copper demand and create several thousand direct and indirect jobs in the Pioneer Mining District of Arizona, with an economic value of several billion dollars over the estimated mine life. Located three miles east of Superior, Arizona, the copper ore will be mined using panel caving - a subset of block caving
