As an Intermediate Business Support Manager at Caterpillar, you will have the opportunity to develop essential business information and provide counsel to management for all business analysis, product costing and return on investment activities. In addition, you will provide analysis and interpretation of the financial condition of the Division or development of product price strategy.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
* Providing business analysis support by establishing target costs, cost monitoring, new product introduction analysis, value chain analysis, investment analysis, sourcing analysis, product costing and supporting worldwide new product introduction projects
* Managing all aspects of accounting and financial reporting or development of product price strategies
* Accountable for division's monthly financial reporting
* Providing analysis of business statements to assist managers in managing costs and revenues in product areas
* Participating in strategy development to improve accountable profit results
* Managing and coordinating the development of accounting related functions for the Business Units, including actual and planned accountable profit business statements and inventory analysis
* Guiding the 6 Sigma financial justification for the division
* Coordinating the ordering/scheduling and develops the pricing strategy and annual price plan for product
* Developing pricing analysis and evaluates business scenarios of various pricing strategies including predictions of competitive reactions
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in an Accounting or Finance related discipline
* 8-10 years of progressively responsible job-related experience
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
* MBA or Master's degree in a business related field
* Product Group Accounting support experience
* Aftermarket Parts financial experience
* Accountable Experience
* Corporate experience
* Strong analytical skills are required to perform detailed financial analysis and prepare strategic plans
* Excellent interpersonal skills are required in order to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others inside and outside the department to take specific action
* Strong communication skills
