The Opportunity

A great career opportunity exists for a Graduate Mine Engineer - GR 2, within the George Fisher Mine Technical Services Department. Reporting to the Senior Mine Engineer, this is a permanent residentially based role in Mount Isa.

You will be responsible for the designing, scheduling and planning of operations within George Fisher Mine and providing technical support to operations as required. Effective implementation of the mine plans by design of planned stope production in line with quarterly mine plans. You will be part of ensuring development designs, drill designs and blast designs are ready and available for executions based upon the mine schedule. Provide feedback to schedulers and other disciplines on changes and delays to the mining plan. Ensuring work gets executed in accordance with environment practices and procedures and also adheres to the safety practices and procedures.

The business will support the successful candidate with an attractive remuneration package and relocation to Mount Isa.

The successful applicant will have:

• A Bachelor Degree in Mine Engineer.
• Manual Drivers Licence.
• A Minimum of 12 months experience working in and underground metalliferous environment.
• 6 Months Drill and Blast experience using DeswikUgdb.
