Our people division is growing, and we are looking for a Fire Systems Planner/Coordinator our Carlin operations. Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all routine maintenance activities for the Fire Systems at Carlin Mine are appropriately planned (resources, parts, tooling) and scheduled so that the work progresses in a safe, efficient and repeatable manner
  • Create, schedule, scan and close all Fire System Work Orders
  • Attend routine inspections with vendors, Government Officials when required, Safety and Health and all others as required
  • Planning and scheduling for all Fire Systems work
  • Develop, optimize, and utilize standard job plans (resources, parts, tooling, task lists) for routine maintenance activities, based on site experience and OEM input, for the Fire Systems
  • Ensure that all routine maintenance activities (labor, APL's, SJP's, costs, etc) are uploaded and maintained in Share Point and SAP
  • Create and maintain work orders and requisitions (materials and services) in SAP. Confirm that parts and external labor are available prior to releasing work orders.
  • Liaise with Supply to expedite external parts and contractor labor suppliers, where necessary
  • Schedule all routine maintenance activities (work orders) in consultation with Production and Maintenance, including short-term changes that may interrupt Production and or Maintenance
  • Provide quality work packs to the Supervisors for all routine maintenance activities to ensure quality and efficient work execution. Seek detailed work completion information from the Supervisors and resolve any issues as necessary
  • Report on standard maintenance measures that are directly related to the Fire Systems
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years practical experience with Fire Systems, preferably in a mining environment required
  • Minimum of 2 years experience with computer-based maintenance planning/scheduling required
  • SAP Experience preferred
  • Maintenance Planning background preferred
  • Fire Systems background preferred
  • MS Office Suite (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project, MS Outlook) preferred

About Nevada Gold Mines

Nevada Gold Mines is a joint venture between Barrick Gold Corporation (61.5%) and Newmont Goldcorp Corporation (38.5%), combining their significant assets across Nevada to create the single largest gold-producing complex in the world and realize the full potential of these mines through synergies and best-in-class operational improvements.

The massive mining operation comprises 8 mines along with their associated infrastructure and processing facilities that produced an estimated 4 million ounces of gold in 2018.
