Job description

Large NT Shipping and stevedoring company is seeking a person with a fork lift ticket with some mechanical aptitude for a marine yard and workshop to assist mechanical trades and blaster/painters. Your role will be a "jack-of-all-trades" and will include receipt, despatch and packing of materials and supplies, moving boat/barge/ship parts, yard clean up, workshop duties, etc. You will ideally have experience in the use of power tools, drills, oxy cutting, grinding, etc. and a keen sense of workplace safety. Long term local work for a punctual and reliable individual. Only persons looking for an ongoing role are encouraged to apply. 38 hr week with the option of Saturday work for the keen individual.

Yard Hands must have a confined space certificate.
