Senior Project Planner Execution

About the role

We are looking for a self-motivated Senior Planner - Execution to oversee the delivery of closure execution projects.

The role will be responsible for the development, implementation and support of integrated execution schedules by working closely with package owners and major contractors.

This role is a great opportunity to become part of a team which is embedded in the growing part of the business of closures. You will assist in business decisions and to drive innovative ideas that will build integrity in the future.

Reporting to the Project Controls Manager Closures, you will:
  • Develop detailed P6 schedules for major execution projects
  • Incorporate analysis and provide information to the Cost Controllers for project phasing
  • Monitor and interrogate Contractor's schedules to ensure that the project and contract requirements for timely and accurate reporting are achieved
  • Ensure potential issues are highlighted early by ensuring schedules and reports are accurate and issued on time

About you

To succeed in this role, you will have:
  • Excellent knowledge of Oracle P6
  • Significant experience in schedule analysis and procedures such as:
    • Experience in the full life-cycle of projects from engineering design right through to commissioning
    • Experience in site execution works through the construction phase
    • Experience and thorough knowledge of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)
    • Familiarity with performing critical path method (CPM) analysis, variance analyses, floats analysis and schedule trending.
    • Schedule development, management and change control, claim defence, engineering and construction methods, commissioning and start up planning, critical path and trending analysis.
    • Progress measure management, analysis and mitigation strategy development and monitoring
