Position Description:

Nevada Gold Mines is looking for a TROC Dispatcher to join Underground Operations Mining Team. The Underground Dispatcher will use the Deswik Ops and Groundhog systems while working closely with Mine Operations, Mine Maintenance, and Mine Engineering to ensure daily production targets are met and assets are effectively utilized.

Responsibilities:

The TROC dispatcher is responsible for the following:

• Organize schedule and dispatch workers and work crews, as well as track equipment utilization using Deswik Ops and Groundhog systems.
• Serve as the central communication contact for mine production, maintenance, and safety. Ensure all equipment requested from maintenance department makes is to scheduled work and all breakdowns are communicated to both ops and maintenance personnel.
• Capture, validate and record mine site data, shift and production reports.
• Assist the Crew Supervisors in monitoring operator performance in accordance with code of conduct and other applicable standards.
• Monitor traffic and heavy equipment through video cameras to ensure efficient use. Utilize Cimplicity system to operate all UG air-doors, fans, and stench systems as well as track cement and fuel levels to be reported out for inventory needs.
• Receive and relay messages and information to and from work crews, and supervisors.
• Facilitate decision-making for mine management and engineering crew.
• Coordinate material deliveries to ensure proper destinations.
• Oversee explosives inventory and use tracking.

Qualifications:

• Some dispatch experience in a mining environmentpreferred
• Familiarity with excel, outlook, mine dispatching, planning and scheduling work preferred
• Underground experience with a understanding of safety and production targets required
• Proven safe work record required
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment required
• Strong communication skills-oral and written required
• Demonstrated ability to be self-directed, team-oriented and work with minimum supervision in a fast-paced work environment preferred.
