With multiple depots throughout the North Island, supporting our people servicing the electricity and gas networks in the field it is essential our stores teams provide the right stock at the right place in the right levels, which is why we need you.

The Role:

This role will manage the Stores and Procurement function for all our depots in order to meet the needs of the operational business. Providing clear leadership to the team, you will ensure policies and processes are followed whilst coaching their development and creating a strong team culture with a focus on Health and Safety in line with our Zero Harm policy.

In addition to being an escalation point for business enquiries, you will also monitor stores and procurement performance indicators and motivate your team to continue to meet and exceed targets. Staying close to the business will allow you to identify improvement opportunities for development and roll out to the operational business. A critical part of the role will be to manage our supplier agreements along with our major customers

As a skilled relationship builder, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining effective relationships with our customers and suppliers and ensuring client owned materials are well managed.

About You:

Bringing your proven leadership and strong management skills from within an operational stores and procurement environment, you will be able to hit the ground running and bring an understanding of how to deliver results in a high volume supply chain.

In addition, you will offer:

• Competence with Microsoft Office, and in particular intermediate Excel skills
• Experience with an ERP system, JDE preferred
• Ideally experience/knowledge of the Electricity Distribution Network industry or similar
• Experience in managing and renegotiating supplier agreements

Not afraid of hard work and happy to be hands on as needed, you will enjoy seeing results for your efforts and be someone who is able to bring a team along for the journey. You will have proven your ability to develop positive relationships with your effective communication skills and be motivated to implement process improvements whilst encouraging others to buy in to the changes.
