Commercial Superintendent

The role is responsible for providing technical and supervisory leadership within the department while acting as a financial resource for operations.

• Implement and monitor audit recommendations (internal and external)
• Supervise and develop the Accounting department
• Mentoring, coaching and training
• Location: Red Lake, CA.

About the role

The Commercial Superintendent develops annual budgets, Life of Mine Plans and forecasts, where it is critical to work closely with the Site Leadership team, operating departments and group office.

The key result areas in this role include;

• Ensure site compliance with IFRS and group accounting guidelines and adhere to the ongoing governance of the accounting practices.
• Communicate accounting policy changes to management, ensuring understanding and compliance.
• Provide variance analysis on monthly, quarterly and annual cost reports.

About you

You will have a minimum of 8 to 10 years of accounting experience and 5 years’ experience in a leadership role. It is also important that you have / can demonstrate:

• University degree in a related discipline.
• Professional accounting designation is required.
• Taking initiative to address problems and following through, working closely and collaboratively with all parts of the business.
• Adapts and copes well with change, manages pressure effectively.
