Job is located in Yerington, NV. Must be legal to work in the US.

Hoist is a double drum, Single clutch.

Work Schedule will be a 14 day on rotation, with 7 day's off. 12 hour shifts.

Comparable wages with subsistence and bonus included.

Health and Safety:
  • Having the authority and responsibility to maintain a safe and efficient working environment
  • Following Company health and safety standards and reporting any unsafe acts or conditions to Supervisor
  • Responsible for the use and maintenance of all safety equipment, i.e. Lanyards, warning signs and labeling, according to company rules and applicable legislation.
  • Responsible to ensure proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment.
  • Must have knowledge of the SDS and know how to effectively use an MSDS sheet.


General:
  • Move gear in and out of the shaft
  • Perform routine daily inspections on hoist and assures maintenance needs are reported
  • Test the safety devices and controls of the hoist
  • Move levers and pedals to operate hoist in response to arm, bell, or buzzer signals.
  • Observe dial indicator and marks on cable or drum to ascertain that desired position has been reached
  • Apply hand or foot brake and moves lever to lock hoist.
  • Inspect, lubricate, and adjust brakes and equipment.
  • Select loads or materials according to weight and size specifications
  • Must be able to comprehend written and verbal instructions as required to perform his duties in a safe and efficient manner
  • Must be able to follow proper procedure to ensure safety and to control equipment damage

Working Conditions

  • Exposure to vibrations, high or low temperatures, loud noise and hazardous substances such as explosives. Closed Cab
  • Exposure to deadlines, multiple demands, distractions/interruptions
  • Workload can be cyclic with very active and inactive times
  • Work performed is done in isolation and in vicinity of working and moving equipment
  • Require a high level of alertness to detect hazardous conditions.


Qualifications
  • Must know and understand the entire shaft sinking signals as required
  • Ability to multi task and work effectively
  • Ability to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently


Special Requirements

  • MSHA Certification
  • Hoist Physical and Drug Testing

Education

  • High School Diploma is required
