Position Description:

Nevada Gold Mines is looking for an Underground Production Miner to join our team.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Underground Operations Production Supervisor, the Underground Production Miner works as an essential member of the production team and is responsible for the following:

• Take ownership in and accountability for maintaining safe work practices, safe workplaces, and safe operation and maintenance of equipment
• Able to read cut sheets/maps and maintain line and grade
• Able to operate Single and Two Boom Jumbo
• Able to operate 6yd and 9yd Loaders
• Able to understand different rock types and drilling/blasting procedures to minimize over-break
• Able to understand and follow ground support plans
• Able to operate mechanized bolter
• Able to operate shotcrete equipment
• Able to handle explosives and load rounds in a safe and productive manner
• Able to install utilities such as ventilation and air/water pipe
• Perform other duties as assigned from time to time at the discretion of the company

Qualifications:

• One (1) year underground mining experience preferred
• Previous heavy equipment operation experience preferred
• Ability to work safely and effectively in an underground mining environment required
• Stable, consistent work history required
• Proactive safety and environmental track record required
• Ability to communicate with all mine operations personnel required
• Ability to work within a team environment, work closely with peers at all levels with a professional attitude required
• Ability to perform the essential functions of this job required
