About the job:
Based out of our Ngaruawahia depot, you will be assisting our maintenance crew as a General Labourer undertaking all crew duties to meet crew tasks and targets. You will primarily support with culvert pipe laying, drainage works, scanning and spotting for services and traffic control. You will be trained in the operation of excavators (diggers), enabling you to stand in when our Operator is offsite. This is a great pathway to build a career with Downer as a Driver Operator.
About you:
You'll be the kind of person who's motivated to learn and one who has the confidence to ask questions when necessary. With a keen interest and some experience in the roading or civil construction industry, you'll be comfortable stepping in to our fast paced and safety compliant environment. You will need a Full Class 1 Drivers Licence and if you have a Class 2+ and WTR these are beneficial, although not essential. Training will be provided to the successful applicant.
