Role Details
Gold Fields Australia is currently seeking a Technician: Electrical to join their Mining department at Agnew Gold Mine.
Reporting to the Electrical Coordinator, you will be responsible for performing Electrical Maintenance of Underground & Surface Infrastructure, installing new & extending existing Infrastructure and attending to breakdowns of all electrical equipment within the mining area as directed by the Electrical & Dewatering Coordinator.
This role is offered on an 8 days on 6 days off, 7 nights on 7 days off Fly in Fly out roster from Perth.

Key responsibilities will include:
- Always act in a manner that seeks to enhance the safety culture and performance of GFA and ensures that the Vital Behaviours are adhered to at all times
- Routine inspections of machinery and fixed plant and carry out preventive measures and condition reporting
- Fault-finding, diagnosis, repair and maintenance of the electrical, communication and instrumentation components of process equipment
- Commissioning and decommissioning of equipment and machinery
- HV switching
- Enter all preventive maintenance and repairs to equipment record in AMT
- Training of apprentices
Key factors to your success include:
- WA "A" Class Electrical Workers Licence
- EWP, Working at Heights and HV Switching tickets are all a MUST
- Current WA C Class Driver's License as a minimum
- Apply First Aid certificate is desirable
- Fiber optical, underground communication and networking experience is advantageous
- CITECT & Mirri control experience
- Previous underground mining, maintenance and fault finding on Atlas, Sandvik drills and underground fixed installations
- Air conditioning accreditation for installation of split systems is desirable
- RCT Tele-remote experience set up and fault finding.
