Title: Mine Services Coordinator

Work location: Solomon Ex Perth

Roster: 8 days on and 6 days off

Reporting to the Mine Services Superintendent, this position offers a key leadership role, responsible for coordinating of diverse Services portfolio.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Visible safety leadership, improve the safety culture and performance of the department and related key contracting partners
  • Maintain a culture where people feel they are engaged, the Fortescue values are lived, and they can make a difference
  • Ensure contracting partners compliance to Fortescue Metals Group safety systems and procedures
  • Weekly meetings with all key contracting partners
  • Planning and scheduling various project
  • Collaborate with subcontractors and other Fortescue Metals Group departments on project delivery
  • Conduct field interactions and monitor progress and quality standards
  • Prepare reports regarding project status
  • Review daily shift reports
  • Participate in weekly planning meetings
  • Review of monthly claims
  • Manage operational budget and participate in budget forecast

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Significant experience at a Coordinator or equivalent level working with multi-disciplined work teams across different technical streams
  • Qualifications associated with civils and earthmoving
  • Excellent people management skills with a proven ability to communicate clearly and concisely. Ability to prioritise and manage multiple complex issues
  • Strong financial understanding of budget preparation, cost control & reporting
  • Quality control and improvement projects
  • Previous experience of contractor management
  • Ability to work within tight time frames with excellent time management and communication skills
  • Knowledge of Mines Regulations and Act and Occupational, Health and Safety legislation and other relevant legislation and regulations
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Project
  • SAP experience
