Summary
The person in this position will provide structural engineering services as a member of multidisciplinary teams working on projects for industrial, power, manufacturing, refinery, and mining clients. Initially, responsibilities will include working on client sites to perform structural inspection services. Additional responsibilities will involve design and analysis, project management, preparation of plans and specifications, report writing, cost estimating, and construction observation. The work will require out-of-town assignments within 2 to 2.5 hours of Jefferson City.

NOTE: Some work locations may feature rough terrain typical of construction sites and may also require entering and working in facilities that have limited accessibility, moving machinery, and other conditions typical of industrial facilities. Safety training will be provided. Applicants may be asked to participate in a drug screening program at the request of specific clients.

Minimum Qualifications
- B.S. in civil or structural engineering
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with project team members and clients
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness
- Willingness to work as part of a project team in an environment that encourages self-initiative
- A flexible working style and the ability to work independently and with teams of specialists to meet client and project needs
- Work experience with AutoCAD and structural engineering analysis software such as RISA 3D, STAAD Pro, or MathCAD
- Ability to start position in November 2020
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship
- Acceptable driving record
Preferred Qualifications
- Heavy industrial experience
- 2+ years of related work experience
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills involving a wide range of structural analysis and design
- Experience in the consulting industry
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and with multidisciplinary teams
- Demonstrated project organization and management skills
