Position Description:

• Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an Underground Communications Technician to join our tea m to install and maintain complex radio communications equipment, dispatch equipment, and GPS systems in support of operations.

Responsibilities:

• Install and maintain underground phone and two-way (UHF/VHF) communications systems.
  
• Underground wired/wireless data network infrastructure installation and maintenance as well as diagnosing anomalies using basin network troubleshooting equipment and techniques.
  
• Process instrumentation installation and repairs
  
• Maintain personnel and equipment tracking systems
  
• Support underground dispatching operations

Qualifications:

• Strong radio and Network background
  
• Understanding of basic electrical theory
  
• Ability to use electrical and radio test equipment for troubleshooting
  
• Computer knowledge and the ability to navigate and troubleshoot computer and network systems and components
  
• Fiber splicing experience
  
• Dispatching systems experience
