The Hemlo property consists of Williams Operating Corporation, an underground and open pit mine, located approximately 350 kilometers east of Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Position Description:

  • Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner
  • Preferably spend a minimum of 35% in the Shaft. Remaining time to be spent with u/g millwright on trade related tasks.
  • Equipment Operating Skills an asset - Forklift/Tractor/Scoops.


Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining all Shaft Services and log books
  • Ability to perform blasting activities in chutes and crushers preferred.
  • Good organizational and procedure skills (written and verbal) coupled with the ability to work independently in an area critical to the operation.
  • Previous experience with cage/crushers/belts/deck preferred.
Qualifications:

  • Basic U/G and Surface Common Core preferred.
  • Good organizational and procedure skills (written and verbal) coupled with the ability to work independently.
  • Equipment Operating Skills preferred
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Shaft experience preferred
  • Dedication to safety measures and best practices required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team required.
