The Role
Reporting to and working closely with the HR Director and HR, you will partner with Senior and Middle Managers, the RTO and broader business to design and deliver a robust learning and development plan and initiatives to address specific business needs. You will also be responsible for driving operational excellence in training processes, creating training programs and content design, undertaking training assessment, delivery and evaluation across internal training teams and our partner RTO.
The role will also see you partner with the HR team to develop and implement tailored learning and development programs to build greater organisational capabilities across the employee lifecycle. Partnering closely with the HR Director and business to drive projects and initiatives that fosters a constructive organisational culture including the co-ordination of annual engagement survey and analysis. Managing stakeholder relationships, advising them through change processes, consulting, and educating them on the benefits & outcomes of new ways of working will also enable you to develop communications plans and supporting resources for the Culture Roadmap including development sessions for leaders.
What you will bring
To be considered for this role you must have an outstanding track record gained within a fast-moving business, ideally in the rail or high-volume service sectors. You will be able to hit the ground running and have a substantial background in L&D. The key attributes that you will have are that you know what good looks like, set yourself high standards, and be a strong stakeholder manager. With a major transformation underway, a delivery and continuous improvement mindset will be key. You are an experienced people professional who can think strategically, but at the same time are comfortable rolling your sleeves up and getting things done. You will bring energy and have an excitement for doing things a little differently in an environment where the foundations are being established.

- Highly skilled in creating training programs that align with organisational objectives
- Strong influencing and negotiating skills
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, to build and maintain effective relationships
- Collaborative with the ability to provide strategic and specialist advice to enable the successful development, implementation and management of mandatory rail industry training and the apprenticeship and traineeship programs
- Ability to demonstrate excellent time management, attention to detail and prioritising skills.
- Strong capacity to engage constructively and respectfully with individuals of diverse backgrounds and abilities to achieve high quality outcomes.
