Position summary
The Training Design Consultant is responsible for the design, development, maintenance, implementation and evaluation process of training and assessment materials associated for Downer's global ERP Solutions; Finance, HR systems and processes.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Degree in education, communications, or training related discipline
  • Diploma of Training Design and Development or Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Extensive demonstrated knowledge of adult learning and Instructional Design principles, and how these principles interact with current education/training delivery and competency-based assessment mediums
  • Demonstrated research skills to locate, evaluate and provide recommendations on available training content and delivery packages in all areas of training and assessment materials (e.g. instructor-led, eLearning, etc)
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of instructional design models
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering enterprise Finance and/or HR systems training
  • Demonstrated ability using rapid authoring software for online learning instructional design (Articulate 360)
  • Demonstrated ability to upload and test eLearning content into learning management systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design, develop and validate competency-based training and assessment materials for all of Downer's global Finance and HR ERP Solutions
  • Research, analyse and provide recommendations for continuous improvement of the training courses, resource/support tools, assessment materials and business system related processes
  • Communication of changes to existing training course and/or introduction of new training courses or associated processes to key stakeholders within Downer
  • Work with systems or business subject matter experts to ensure the currency, relevance and accuracy of training content
  • Deliver as required Train the Trainer sessions for the Training Delivery Consultants in our team to ensure instructional design principles have been met
  • Facilitate and chair meetings with key stakeholders and SMEs during the process of development/ validation to ensure training and assessment materials remain current with systems upgrades or business process enhancements
  • Cultivate a positive, collaborative and customer-focused, environment by responding to all customers in a professional and timely manner.
