About the job:

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Railway crew as a General Labourer based in Dunedin as part of the Future You programme. You will undertake a 2-week training programme to prepare you to make a difference in our community!

Once you have completed training you'll be all set to assist your crew working on the Railways in Otago. This is a great way to build your career with Downer!

This position requires occasional late night and weekend work to meet our project targets.

About you:

Along with your positive attitude and your ability to carry out safe work practices, there are a few essentials we are looking for:

• You will be available for immediate start as training begins Monday, 7 th December 2020
• Minimum Class 1 New Zealand Drivers licence
• The ability to commit to Monday to Friday work as well as late night and weekends when required
• Physically fit to spend your days outdoors and on your feet

You'll be the kind of person who's motivated to learn and one who has the confidence to ask questions when necessary. With a keen interest and some experience in the roading or civil construction industry, you'll be comfortable stepping in to our fast paced and safety compliant environment.
