Database Administrator - Geology

Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, the Database Administrator will be responsible for ensuring that production targets are tracked and met in a safe and efficient manner at Battle North Gold – Bateman Gold Project. This position will work a local 5x2, 8 hour shift schedule offering a great work/life balance.

Responsibilities

• Input core logging, field mapping and sampling data entry in Geology database, ensuring accuracy of data entry in order to minimize errors.
• Gather and meticulously review and audit incoming data prior to upload.
• Coordinate transfer of geological and assay data from Exploration Geologists to Geology database.
• Assist with the coordination of sample dispatch shipments from the Coreshack to commercial assay laboratories.
• Collect, upload and archive data from electronic assay certificates and from information obtained on hard copy assay certificates.
• Coordinate invoicing for assays.
• Suggest improvements to practices to improve safety and productivity within the group.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology or related Earth Science program with a minimum of 3 years of directly related experience.
• Registered or eligible to register as a P.Geo with a PGO License preferred.
