Regional Continuous Improvement Manager

Another one of CSG’s longest standing clients working across 4 continents is looking for a Regional Continuous Improvement Manager to take on a residential position. This individual will be in charge of the all operations across the regional portfolio. They will be responsible for all operating and processing within the company including Safety, Health, Environment and Quality. They are responsible for the day to day continuous improvement activities of the company in that region and reports directly to the Regional General Manager.

• Deploys and sustains CI program within the region by improving working conditions and generating margin improvement
• Cultivates and promotes a strong continuous improvement culture across the hub.
• Supports analysis of processes and practices to enable safety / efficiency / quality continuous improvement initiative generation, also with the support of team organizing company best practice.
• Generates detailed continuous improvement initiatives across the plants of the hub to generate savings with the cooperation of various engineers and site managers.
• Leads effective operational processes’ implementation at regional level
• Provides technical support and expertise to on-site teams for CI deployment and improvement projects
• At hub level, monitors progress of continuous improvement projects and related savings, including process management improvement, process modification, energy optimization
• Maintains and creates appropriate documentation for reports, project execution, and data analysis
• Supports Operation Sites & Supply Chain team members to support continuous improvement deployment
• Captures and communicates learning to enable best practice transfer within his/her hub and the other hubs
• Key interfaces: ensures tight coordination with Hub manager & Business area I-Cube manager.
• Based on the lead site of the region and can be acting as local CI opex on this site.

KEY COMPETENCIES

• Good Continuous Improvement culture and able to learn very fast methods (project management, 6-sigma, etc)
• Strong Analytical skills with added Problem solver skills
• Good Project Management skills
• Around 10 years’ experience with ability to quickly develop technical / process expertise
• Ability to positively influence teams in a matrix organization. Will be part of an leading CI ‘community’.
• Able to organize training paths for managers of in the regions
• Engineer or equivalent with results oriented attitude
• 2/3 years’ experience in Operations Management and Operational Excellence program management – possible to hire newly graduated people with high potential
• Will need drive, ambition and have a long-term view to grow in more senior roles in future.
