Purpose
The Supervisor is responsible for providing technical expertise and guide to ensure the equipment maintenance programs of MPSA's achieve the performance targets and KPI's.

Key Accountabilities and Challenges
· Contributes that all maintenance mechanical works are completed in a safe manner and in compliance with established safe work procedures and systems.
· Responding to scheduled maintenance work so that impact on the operation is minimised.
· Assist with the Supervision of contract personnel to ensure completed work in carried out safely, efficiently and effectively.
· Accountable for carrying out all duties in a manner that will minimise risk and maintain a safe working environment for all personnel within area of influence including contractors.
· Follow FQM Way culture - \"Bolder, Smarter, Driven, Together.\"
· Perform any other duties as assigned by Coordinator or anyone else in the team.
· Assist in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in the performance of equipment and processes
· Prepare and maintains a variety of records and paperwork/technical reports regarding work performed.
· Communicate work order revisions, material delays or other problems to supervisor and await further instruction.
· Be an active contributor to the 'team' environment of mining maintenance striving to consistently deliver and exceed expectations.
· Undertake nominated training activities to maintain and up-skill required competencies.
· Execute duties with the focus to reduce operational costs.
· Ensure all work activities on equipment are in accordance with dealer specifications.
· Operate within and observe all relevant and applicable laws of Panama.
· Monitor, analyse and assist in the planned maintenance activities and optimum operation of the equipment.
· Provide accurate written and/or verbal reports on work activities and equipment assessments.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
· Education
· Bachelor degree in mechanical Engineering or similar is mandatory.
· Good understanding of safety and environmental policies and application in the mining industry highly regarded.
· Certification of competency in mechanical installation from a recognised institution/company.
· Skills
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Strong ability to work in a \"team\" environment.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to maintain self-discipline within a stressful environment.
· Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
· Experience
· Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in similar maintenance roles and Supervision.
· Proven track record of success.
· Ability to develop solutions in challenging environment.
· Experience in the diagnostic and repair of any of the following equipment highly regarded: Liebherr; Komatsu; CAT and other heavy duty mining equipment.
· Language
Fluency in Spanish is required and proficiency in English is highly regarded. A willingness to undertake language training desirable.
