Our client, a successful Australian mining company, is seeking to appoint an experienced safety professional to enhance the systems and safety performance of one of their growing operations in the Goldfields of Western Australia.

Reporting to the site General Manager, you will be a pivotal point of contact for the site management team providing them with advice and services as well as overseeing the continuous improvement of processes, procedures and systems.

You will be responsible for:

• Developing, implementing and managing risk management processes
• Incident investigation
• Developing, implementing and managing the Safety Management System
• Managing and coordinating safety training programs
• Managing Environmental compliance
• Assisting with the Community Engagement Plan
• Managing Environmental Management System
• Overseeing internal and statutory reporting
• Developing, implementing and managing Emergency Response capabilities
• Mentoring and coaching leadership teams.

Ideally you will have:

• A tertiary qualification in a HSEC related discipline
• Several years' experience working in similar roles
• Sound understanding of HSEC legislation and systems
• Experience in Risk Management
• Excellent people skills
• High level communication skills
• Strong behavioural coaching skills.
