Position summary
NEWest Alliance is a multidisciplinary collaboration between CPB Contractors and Downer, working with the Public Transport Authority to deliver over $1.2 billion of works as part of METRONET.

Across two projects (Yanchep Rail Extension and Thornlie-Cockburn Link), the Alliance will add 32 kilometres of track to Perth's rail network, 5 new stations and 3 station modifications as well as 14 kilometres of principal shared path.

Together the projects are set to create 3000 jobs and once operational will give residents of the northern and southern suburbs greater access to employment and training, entertainment and recreation hubs.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Rails Systems / Signalling Engineer to join our NEWest Alliance office. You will play an active role in leading commissioning activities across TCL and YRE construction projects as well as interface with the client and stakeholders on technical aspects of delivery. You will also:

• Develop system specific commissioning sub plans and test criteria.
• Develop and deliver FAT and SAT testing criteria.
• Manage the handover and completions activities across all stages of the project.
• Commissioning of rail systems/rail technology with exposure to commissioning and completions software packages.
• Plan and schedule of key resources and delivery program.

ABOUT YOU

You will drive excellence in quality and completions management and be a team player with the ability to motivate and lead by example. You will also have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering
• Rail Systems background in either Signalling, Communications and SCADA control or Operational Technology
• Preferably Metro rail experience from either PTA, TfNSW or Melbourne Metro
• Previous experience working for a contractor in a fast-paced project environment would be beneficial although having worked as a client or consultant would suffice
• Demonstrated project delivery experience in infrastructure or building
• Detail-oriented
• Familiar with configuration management practices or document control in an engineering environment
• Experience in project planning, cost control, document control and quality systems & processes on high value projects
