The EAME Parts Operations Division is looking for a Parts Operations Consultant to deliver profitable growth by implementing and executing the Parts Excellence Program and focused support to achieve the Caterpillar Customer Experience. In this role, you will be responsible to drive parts operations capabilities improvements at Dealers through dedicated projects and achieve Parts Excellence Program targets. As a Parts Operations Consultant in EAME Distribution, you will contribute to delivering Caterpillar and dealer business plan by providing the best parts operations distributions capabilities. You will assist dealers as they build effective product support capability and efficiency; contribute to dealer parts and service growth; and enhance customer satisfaction. Expected travel 40-60%.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Deliver Parts Excellence results by territory and drive the dealers for best distribution in the Parts Operations field.

• Lead complex projects focusing on parts operations process improvements (6 Sigma methodology/ Lean).

• Apply previous field experience and knowledge of process improvement methodologies to improve dealer profitability.

• Work, influence and liaise among dealers and all levels of their management teams, customers and other Caterpillar divisions (GASD, District Teams, PSLD, etc.).

• Be very familiar with the enterprise strategy, processes, systems and methodologies (Services Growth, Sales, Service Operations, etc.).

• Perform complex analysis work, identify and resolve problems that are less tactical and more strategic in nature.

• Lead the identification, analysis and resolution of product support performance capability gaps in parts operations in assigned districts.

• Identify gaps and lead process improvement at dealers on parts ordering and expediting processes.

• Identify gaps and lead process improvement at dealers on demand planning and parts inventory management.

• Consult dealers on quality concerns due to freight and shipping process. Work closely with PSLD on solutions.

• Advise dealers on information systems including advantages and shortcomings for dealer parts operations.

• Support dealer parts return process and be accountable for dealer $ cap budget management and special returns process.

• Along with their manager, direct development and continual learning through experience and staying abreast of technology changes.

Technical knowledge:

• University degree combined with 5 to 7 years prior experience in field rep assignment(s)

• Fluent in English, French. Other languages are a plus.

• 6 Sigma Black Belt certification. CPS (Lean) is a plus.

• Strong business acumen and previous experience of working directly with dealers in a field position.

• Proficient analytic tools users.

• Industry knowledge (Parts Sales Business in mining, construction and E&T - intermediate. Dealer Service organizations and processes).

• Familiar with company policies and procedures.

• Sales & Operations Planning or Supply Chain experience is a plus.
