Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Location: Woodmead - JOhannesburg
Salary: Negotiable
Contract/ Perm: Contract

Qualifications:
• 4 year degree in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent,
• Registration with Engineering Council of South Africa preferred.
• Registration with Engineers Registration Board of Botswana (ERB) will be an advantage. If not registered, the candidate must be eligible and must submit his/her application to the board within three (3) months, after employment.

Skills:
• Sound communication, negotiation, interpersonal, coordination, and leadership skills. Disciplined matured, energetic, team player and determined to make things happen. Attention to detail.
Knowledge:
• Good general knowledge of Mechanical and Piping engineering and design requirements & practices for mining projects through various project execution phases, including construction and commissioning support.
• Experience in the technical specification and procurement of large mining plant equipment such as mills, crushers, floatation cells, thickeners and filters.
• Experience in mining pumping systems designs.
• Materials Handling design experience will be an advantage, including belt conveyor, material transfers and bulk material storage designs.

Other Competencies:
• Ability to multi-task in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
• Minimum 6 to 10 years of relevant experience Mechanical engineering & design experience in the EPC/EPCM project environment, preferably in the mining sector
