Job Details
Pacific People Solutions are seeking an Operations Manager to lead production and capital projects in a leading hot metal smelter and refinery operation in regional Australia. Our client is an international leader within their field
This newly created role will be directly responsible for two hot metal production departments alongside asset management and capital projects. There will be three direct reports and a broader team of up to 500. The role will also be the 2IC for the site General Manager when they are offsite.
As part of the site Senior Management Team, the Operations Manager will contribute to the development of site strategy, develop and deliver operational strategy and planning of production outputs to meet budget requirements. The Operations Manager is a key role and instrumental in driving the required performance, standards and behaviours across their departments.
To be considered for this exciting opportunity you will:
- Be an experienced leader within a hot metal smelting / refinery environment.
- Have leadership experience across asset maintenance and capital projects.
- Experienced at navigating change within a complex operation.
- Be a proven leader with experience of integrating and developing teams and individuals as well as integrating change within teams.
- Have an engineering / metallurgy background and qualification.
