Dampier Salt Limited (DSL), located in Western Australia and comprising three solar salt operations - Dampier, Port Hedland and Lake MacLeod is the world's largest exporter of seaborne salt, with capacity to produce approximately 10.3 million tonnes every year. At their Lake MacLeod operations, they also mine and export gypsum to customers in Australia and Southeast Asia.
About the Role
WorkPac is partnered with Rio Tinto Dampier Salt and are currently seeking a Heavy Diesel mechanic for their operation located at Port Hedland.
The successful candidate will be required to perform a range of duties from servicing, component change outs and component rebuilds within the workshop.

Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated post trade haulage mechanic experience
- A sound mechanical understanding & experience working on CAT, Komatsu, Kenworth, Powertrans and Scania
- Experience with some fixed plant and pumps is viewed favourably
- Hold an Australian recognised Automotive Mechanic Trade Qualification
- Manual C Class Australian issued Drivers Licence (minimum)
- High risk work licences are highly regarded
