Reporting to the Senior Supervisor, Mine Operations, the Dispatch Supervisor, Mine Operations is responsible for playing a key role in the safe and productive operation of the crew. This role will work closely with the Operations team dispatching the conventional mine operation, with the intent of transitioning to our Autonomous Haulage System as our site works through full deployment of the autonomous haul technology. This position follows a 4x4 days and nights rotation.

To be successful in this role we are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, who is a motivated self-starter with the ability to multitask, prioritize contending demands, and positively contribute in a fast paced, team environment. You are someone who is adaptable, energetic, has strong attention to detail, and an interest in continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
• Operate the Wenco, MineVision, and Fleet Control systems to optimize equipment utilization, productivity, and operating costs
• Ensure the truck shovel operation is optimized to maximize production and minimize operating costs at all times
• Manage the operation crew’s scheduling requirements

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum three years mining experience, including one year of experience with dispatch systems
• Possess a valid Shift Boss certificate would be an asset, but not a requirement
• Experience with autonomous haulage would be an asset
• Strong digital literacy and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite®
