Our growing mining client in French Africa currently seeks a Commercial Manager to handle a wide variety of tasks leading the Finance, Procurement, IT and Administration functions.

This role sits above a standard Finance Manager position but will ultimately be responsible for all site financial reporting, controls, systems, processes, ERP development, tax and compliance. A Commercial Manager with a strong and hands on background in Financial Management with lateral bandwidth and oversight into commercial and administration functions will therefore be required.

The existing function requires a lot of change management, development of operations cost control and a complete overhaul of existing systems therefore someone with change management or team turnaround experience will be well received.

The successful candidate will be a CPA/ ACA/ ACCA / CIMA qualified Accountant (or equivalent) with relevant experience in a remote Franco African context. The candidate must be fully fluent / bilingual in French.

This is a FIFO position with a good salary and bonus. As with most mine sites, the roster may be sightly elongated for mutual convenience until such time that the pandemic has calmed enough for the company to resume a standard swing. Estimated at some stage in 2021.
