The Role: CHPP Production Coordinator, Coal Handling & Preparation Plant (Maules Creek, NSW)
CHPP Production Coordinator is accountable for planning and execution of stockpile management and product loading, coordination of maintenance and production interaction for routine maintenance and shutdowns, and supporting production teams such that continuity of operations are achieved in accordance with safety targets, budget tonnes and quality objectives.

To be successful in the role you will:
  • Coordinate coal preparation activities in a cost-effective and efficient manner in accordance with annual operating plans and budgets by maintaining optimum work practices, maximising productivity and ensuring effective utilisation of staff and resources.
  • Contribute to development of operations and maintenance budgets and preparation of capital submissions where necessary.
  • Execute product railing to order and specification to minimise penalties, demurrage and rejection cost
  • Ensure quality control procedures are adhered to.
  • Ensure that employees receive proper induction and training in safe processing practices.
  • Develop, implement and maintain coal preparation policy and procedures and programs in compliance with company and statutory requirements.
  • Input into short and medium term production plans and forecasts to meet market demand, rail and shipping schedules

The successful applicant will possess the following qualifications, experience and qualities:
  • High School Education
  • Formal training in Coal Preparation theory and methods
  • Extensive and demonstrated experience in metallurgical processing plants (not less than 5 years)
  • Up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation
  • Experience on Quality Control and Rail Logistics
