Supervisor Mobile Maintenance- Excavators

Work location: Christmas Creek

Roster: 7D7N7RNR

Fortescue is seeking a suitability experienced Supervisor Mobile Maintenance to join the team at Christmas Creek on a FIFO 2:1 roster ex Perth. Your role will be to lead and develop the Maintenance team within the Diggers and Drills Department ensuring maintenance activities on the plant, equipment and utilities under accountability are safely executed against schedules, plans, procedures and the Mines Act.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Delivering a safe working environment and the safe execution of all maintenance activities. Achieving, Promoting, coaching and mentoring personnel to engage in our safety systems, procedures and mines act for all work activities
  • Develop accurate weekly fleet maintenance plans
  • Build the technical knowledge within your team, to deliver sustainable, reliability and availability performance
  • To meet the budgeted production requirements for the site
  • Review and monitor maintenance personals performance on a weekly basis. Manage all personal within the HR process
  • Relationship with the Excavator and Drills Maintenance Coordinators, input ideas to gain and sustain reliability in our fleet
  • Ensure compliance to service exchange and rotable component returns. Ensure documents are completed and component is returned to the stores
  • Ensure rescheduled work orders have the parts accounted for and are returned to the stores as per process
  • Complete a thorough handover with your fellow oncoming Supervisor. Set them up for success

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Relevant Mobile Plant Trade Certificate
  • Previous experience as a Maintenance Supervisor role or similar leadership position
  • High level of technical experience and knowledge of mobile maintenance fleets
  • Experienced in supervising large maintenance teams across multiple work fronts (20 to 30 people)
  • Experienced in people management and people development
  • Experienced in developing and leading a high level of Safety Leadership culture
  • Experience working with safety management systems
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous SAP,BMS Excel and Word computer skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ability in interact interpersonally at all level is the organisation
  • Understanding of predictive and preventive maintenance principles
  • Understanding for condition monitoring techniques (eg. Oil Analysis, Vibration Monitoring and Thermal)
  • Understanding of 1SAP work management processes
  • Understanding of Lean principles (5S, Visual Management, waste)
  • Knowledge of the Mines Safety & Inspection Act & Regulations
