HSE Manager Mining Burkina Faso

With the improving outlook for the mining sector, SFTP Mining has an exciting opportunity for an exceptional HSE Manager to join our contract mining team. SFTP provides contract mining services in Burkina Faso, Mali, Senegal and Ivory Coast to top tier mining houses.  New projects are coming on line in 2021 and we require an exceptional HSE leader to join this expanding business. 

The HSE Manager key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Directs HSE for the country covering multiple mining projects in Burkina Faso
• Coordination of all HSE activities for the country
• Development of HSE plans and budgets
• Implementation of systems to maintain and ensure zero harm and risk management
• Experience with enviornmental and legal compliance
• Implements and maintains audits and corrective actions register
• Prior experience with mining companies minimum 5 years as a Safety Manager 
• Formal SHEQ/NEBOSH qualifications
• Experience in working with a large multi site company
• Incumbent will be roving through the country sites with hands on activity.
• 75% of the role will be based in the field.
• Looking for an active hands on manager must be a French speaker
• Fluent French and English essential
• Reporting through the COO part of the management team

Roster and Conditions

Salary is market related. Roster is on a 9 on 3 off cycle with one day included each side for travel.
