Position summary

Downer Mining has an excellent opportunity available for an Excavator Fitter join our team working on our established Cape Preston project based in the Pilbara. FIFO Perth 2:1 D/N roster.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent you will be responsible for the service and repair of our mobile plant, predominantly our Liebherr 9800 Excavator. Duties consist of below:-

• Service & Repair of Liebherr 9800 Excavator
• Conduct daily inspections and adjustments
• Recommend best repair options
• Maintain Records Review Downtime Data to Eliminate repetitive Downtime
• Coordinate & Execute Planned Shutdown Activities including
• Provide On job Training and Development of existing employees

ABOUT YOU

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

• Trade qualifications in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Fitting
• Previous experience , Liebherr R9800 Excavator
• Valid Driver's Licence
• Demonstrated experience in maintaining and servicing large scale earthmoving equipment in a mining situation is essential
• Strong team player and solid communication skills
• Drive, enthusiasm and a passion to be part of a great team culture
