Here in Twizel we are looking for a Road Maintenance Worker to join our crew as we carry out work on our maintenance contract in the region! Based in our Satellite depot this is an exciting opportunity for you if you are looking for a role where you get to travel around our town and make a difference each day.

About the role:

You will be leading your crew doing construction and maintenance works on roading, pavements and drainage. Your duties will involve operating our vehicle around town working independently and from helping the team out with general maintenance, construction and traffic management work.

The position involves your availability from Monday - Friday as the crew are working to the weather conditions, in the winter season you will be ploughing snow and spreading grit along our roads. You may also be asked to carry out weekend and/or at nighton call. Therefore, if you have the commitment and the willingness to work then we would like to hear from you!

About you:

Along with your civil experience as a Driver Operator there are a few essentials to what we are looking for, but don't stress too much if you don't tick them all off, we are prepared to train you:

• You'll hold a class 2 minimum full New Zealand Drivers licence with WTR endorsements and a class 4 full licence being desirable
• High standard of workmanship with a commitment to safe workplace practises
• Clear communication skills with the ability to build rapport with stakeholders and easily chat with your crew
