Purpose

Reporting to the Supervisor Warehouse, the Stores Officer is responsible to provide administration and materials warehouse services utilizing warehouse administrative systems and policies in compliance with relevant procedures. This is a hand-on position with a focus on an immediate to shift basis.

Key Accountabilities and Challenges

· Operate within and observe all relevant and applicable laws of Panama.

· Maintain HSE standards and ensure strict compliance within the section.

· Adherence to all FQM Cobre Panama policies and procedures.

· Oversee the activities of Storemen in the warehouse.

· Perform general warehouse duties including (but not limited to):

o Verify incoming shipments match applicable invoices, purchase orders, bills of lading or other records by counting, weighing or measuring items ensuring any damage or missing items are recorded and followed up with supplier.

o Critically examine incoming goods to ensure specifications match the requirements detailed on order.

o Arrange any necessary storage of incoming goods ie placing items into containers.

o Operate lift truck or hoist moving shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage area.

o Receipt and process of the inbound inventory in the warehouse management system.

o Issue of stock to departments ensuring all transactions are recorded in the warehouse management system

o Trace and track inbound shipments to ensure timely and known delivery dates.

o Administer and monitor the returns process.

o Undertake materials audits by sorting, counting, identifying, verifying and tracking using the existing processes and to maintain accurate inventory records.

o Verify receipts and ensure they are logged according to existing procedures.

o Investigate and resolve anomalies in the daily receipt log e.g. items received are not properly recorded.

o Enter inventory data into the system on a regular and timely basis.

o Provide warehouse information as requested by representatives from other departments in the organization.

o Perform regular material warehouse inspections to ensure that material is undamaged and maintained in an orderly manner in the warehouse.

o Advise Supervisor of cycle count issues in a timely basis.

· Ensure that all documents and materials received to the warehouse are of satisfactory quality.

· Operate forklift, power jack and/or other lifting aids to safely move warehouse materials according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).

· Be an active contributor to the 'team' environment of warehouse to consistently deliver and exceed expectations.

· Undertake nominated training activities to maintain and up-skill required competencies.

· Execute duties with the focus to reduce operational costs.

· Perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

· Education

· Complete relevant university technical degree.

· Bachelor degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or related fields.
