About the role

We are looking for a Superintendent Process Control to lead our technical team across all reduction lines at Boyne Smelters Limited (BSL). This role will ensure the Fixed Plant Control Systems and Processes are maintained and continually developed to improve the operation and reliability of the processing facilities in a safe, environmental sensitive and cost effective way.

Working Monday to Friday and reporting to the Reduction Line 1,2&3 Manager and working in an exciting environment you will:

· Design and formulate technical solutions to proactively resolve potential problems to ensure a Zero Harm environment

· Optimise Plant performance by leading a diverse team in continual improvement projects

· Establish and maintain key routines and systems to enable continuous stable operation across all reduction lines

· The implementation of strategies whist achieving safety, environmental, and cost objectives

· Implement and sustain process safety standards for critical risks

· Ensuring team objectives / work schedules are maintained in line with production expectations

· Drive technical excellence by mentoring and identifying development opportunities for team members

· Work closely with technical and operations stakeholders both on site and within the wider business

· Taking a proactive approach to safety and where necessary participating in accident / incident investigations, hazard studies and safety issues

What you'll bring

· A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team

· Tertiary qualification in Chemical Engineering or equivalent degree

· Strong stakeholders management and negotiation skills

· Proven problem solving skills and the ability to provide innovative solutions

· Advanced proficiency in SAP and Microsoft office skills

· A visual leadership style of guiding, mentoring, developing and empowering team members

· An unwavering commitment to improve and maintain health and safety standards

· Extensive experience working on continuous improvement of the Reduction Line Process Control in the Smelting industry

It will also beneficial if you have:

· Experience working in an AP30 smelter and end riser cell technologies
