About the role

We are looking for an Instrumentation Officer in our Instrument Workshop team who will be accountable for the performance of routine, preventive and breakdown maintenance.

This is a great opportunity for a highly skilled technical person to conduct planned and unplanned repair and diagnostic work within production time constraints on a wide variety of equipment. Work targeted at defect elimination, safety, availability and reliability forms a key part of this role.

Reporting to the Specialist IC & P Systems and working Monday to Friday you will be:
  • Experienced in fault finding diagnosis techniques;
  • Experienced in the installation, maintenance of computer network cabling and equipment plus the ability to diagnose and rectify faults;
  • Competent in the installation and maintenance of wireless modems and mobile computing systems such as Metlink devices and handheld scanners;
  • Able to repair and support the maintenance of industrial electronic equipment;
  • Experienced with Installation and maintenance of CCTV systems;
  • Knowledgeable on the calibration of measurement and control devices.

  • Electrical / Electronic qualifications
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • A demonstrated ability to learn new concepts and technologies quickly
  • A strong bias towards Industrial Electronics and Fibre and Copper Computer Networks (Ethernet and Modbus+)
  • Planning, prioritising, scheduling skills and problem solving
  • A track record with improvement work.
  • Computer skills (MS Office, SAP will be advantageous)
