Reporting to the Senior Advisor, Training & Development, the Training & Development Clerk provides clerical support for the T&D Department as well as the Human Resources Department as needed.

This is a Casual/On-Call position.

Rotation schedule will be an even rotation

Responsibilities:
• Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
• Provide clerical and secretarial support to the Training & Development department personnel by answering incoming calls and assists callers or if necessary, takes messages or redirects them to the appropriate personnel.
• Processes and maintains accurate time and payroll information for the department including time entry, leave requests, R&R schedules and changes to personnel data.
• Maintains adequate inventory of offices supplies as needed.
• Ensure confidentiality of files and inquiries.
• Generates monthly labor hour reports of total contractor hours.
• Responsible for safety performance recognition initiatives such as LTI-free awards, communications associated with safety milestones (TV monitors, paper, multimedia)
• Enters MSHA 5000-23 training records into a LMS training database. Conducts semi-annual audits of training records to ensure employee regulatory compliance with mandatory training.

Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of two (2) years prior experience with administrative support duties is required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint) is required
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment, able to multi task, set priorities and meet deadlines
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrate excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to analyze data, audit files and ensure regulatory compliance of all training records
