Kinross' Technical Services is looking to hire a student for the summer of 2021 as part of our Gold Rush Internship program! The Gold Rush Corporate Internship Program is an opportunity for students who are enrolled in a related program at a recognized academic institution, and who want to excel in the mining industry. This program will have opportunities working closely with various departments in the Kinross Corporate Office in Toronto, Ontario gaining real-world experience in an exciting, dynamic field.

Job Responsibilities
The intern will assist the corporate metallurgy department in its duties such as:
- Assisting with studies, major projects, or operations support.
- Conducting technical research
- Data processing and writing technical documents
- Assist with document reviews and site visits.
Education and Experience
- 2nd or 3rd-year Mineral Processing, Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering program with an excellent academic record
Skills
- Knowledge of metallurgical testing methods and data interpretation;
- Strong analytical skills in Excel, with knowledge of advanced functions;
- Superior communication and presentation skills including PowerPoint and Word;
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently with little direction;
- Spanish, Russian, French, or Portuguese language abilities would also be an asset.
